Some of my readers and followers may or may not know that I played football at the Univeristy of Toledo, I was the placekicker so being able to document the team like I have been able to this far in 2016 has been such an awesome experience.

I am trying to look at things just a little differently then most sports photographers on the sidelines. I love telling stories whether that be in person or via my photography. A picture truly is worth 1,000 words.

2016 Homecoming at the University of Toledo! The Toledo Rockets hosted the team down south the Bowling Green Falcons on a stunning fall afternoon in October. The campus was packed with excitement which was awesome to see.

The Toledo Rockets have finally taken the step into the national spotlight, the program hasn’t been ranked since 2012. But with major wins over Arkansas and Iowa State, Toledo is shaking up the rankings and climbing the ladder.

It was homecoming weekend, so campus was packed and reach to bring the noise inside of the Glass Bowl. It was great seeing some old friends prior to the game. It was a beautiful fall afternoon, the kickoff  was at 3pm which meant the light after halftime would be beautiful and it would allow me to chase the light, and that is exactly what I did.

A sidenote in the below images there was a female referee along with Kent State having a female place kicker.

NCAA Football: Stony Brook at Toledo

Toledo Rockets hosted Stony Brook to kick off the 2015 season, but neither team walked away with a win or loss. After a 3 hour rain delay due to lightening in the area. The game was cancelled and won’t be made up. Stats from the game also don’t count. So Toledo will travel to Arkansas next week with a 0-0 record and no stats.

I wil say one thing, Coach Campbell did an excellent job keep his players focused even with all of the delays. It was a great mental test for the Rockets.

NCAA Football: Toledo at Cincinnati

The Toledo Rockets traveled to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats at Paul Brown Stadium. Since Nippert Stadium is under construction all Bearcats home games are being played at Paul Brown Stadium. Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Gunner Kiel, who is a transfer from Notre Dame came to play and prove that he is a NFL caliber quarterback.
