Baseball season is finally here, which means one thing. Spring is right around the corner. A cold misty day in Detroit as the Tigers stomped the Twins 11-0.
There wasn’t a lot of action, but there were a lot of runs scored and a lot of happy Tigers players and fans as they are undefeated! I know it’s a little early to say…. but could this year be the year?

With my second off day in a row while I have been in Florida, I headed over to Lakeland to cover the Detroit Tigers first full squad workout. Spring training offers killer access but really boring action. Even though some of the guys have been playing in the in MLB for 10+ years they go back to the basics learned in little league. Fielding ground balls, turning double plays, base running and even run downs.

The 2012 World Series finally arrived in Detroit. I haven’t done a lot of baseball this year, but I was fortunate enough to cover the NLDS in Cincinnati and now the World Series. For game three I arrived around 3:00pm to find parking, pick up credentials and get all set up.
