NFL Preseason week 4, where jobs are made or lost. All of the starts for the Colts and the Bengals didn’t even play, so most of the game I spent stalking the bench area shooting head shots for stock purposes and later use during the rest of the reason.
Congratulations to Annie and Tony Harmon on tying the knot and putting up with me all day! Annie and Tony got married on August 24th at St. Joseph Church in Sylvania, Ohio. Tony is a firefighter and he set it up, so we could stop by and take photos inside of the fire house which was an awesome location.
Annie and Tony left the rest up to me, so what do photographers do best? Scout locations. The best locations was a random houses in Sylvania front where where dozen of sunflowers where along the side of the road, which made for an awesome photo.
Thanks for having me! I had a blast!!
Week 3 of the NFL is upon us and that means the starters are playing well into the second quarter before they are replaced by rookies and other guys trying to make the team. The big story was Chad Henne and Blake Bortles battling it out at the quarterback position.
The photo above was 100% luck! I was editing photos and Reggie broke for a huge run and I grabbed my 70-200 and I was running along side of hime taking photos.
Overall it was a decent game.
After getting home at 3am from the Jets vs Bengals game I arrived at Michigan International Speedway at 10am to get ready to shoot the Pure Michigan 400. Michigan is quickly becoming one of my least favorite tracks, the garages are awful, the racing is single file for most of the race and it’s in the middle of nowhere in Michigan.
In the above photo Jeff Gordon was giving a stuffed cheetah because he recorded the fastest time at Michigan International Speedway beating Kevin Harvick’s record in June.
This past weekend was a long one for me, NASCAR at Michigan International Speedway Friday, Saturday morning drive to Cincinnati for the Jets at Bengals game then drive back to Michigan for the NASCAR Race on Sunday afternoon.
The store line for the New York Jets is Geno Smith vs Michael Vick for the starting quarterback position. Also everyone wanted to see how Andy Dalton handled his self after signing six year $116 million dollar contract. Personally I think I could live off that for the rest of my life!
Spent a few days down in Mexico with my wife Stacy and these are just some random photos during our trip.
NFL game number two for me this year and everyone is still talking about Johnny Manziel. After battling it out with Brian Hoyer in training camp, he got to show what he has against the Detroit Lions. Manziel 7-for-11 for 63 yards with six rushes for 27 yards. He made the play (photo above) getting away from Van Noy look easy.
The game was very uneventful, lots of running by Johnny and lots of field goals by both teams as neither scored a touchdown.
Let’s get on with the photos.
About a month ago LeBron James announced he was returning to Cleveland to to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers who drafted LeBron as the #1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. LeBron played for Cleveland from 2003-2010 then on July 8th 2010 LeBron said he would be taking his talents to South Beach to play for the Miami Heat. Everyone in Cleveland starting burning their jerseys and saying he was a trader.
Fast forward to today the city of Akron hosted a Welcome Home LeBron James party in conjunction with the LeBron James Family Foundation Reunion where every year LeBron helps out underprivileged children by helping them in school and donating bicycles to the kids.
The event made for some cool pictures, that I was extremely happy with.
Between Johnny Manziel and new LeBron James both in Cleveland, it looks like I will be spending lots of time in Cleveland.
Harmful Algal Bloom season has arrived. If your not from Toledo, over the weekend the City of Toledo and surrounding suburbs were advised not to drink or boil water due to algae getting into the city water system.
Toledo was on a Don’t Drink, Don’t Boil advisory for two and a half days. People were clearing water off the shelves by the dozen. I have never seen anything like it. Lucky we don’t get hurricanes or other natural disasters.
Here a few photos of the Algal Blooms at Maumee Bay State Park.
