IndyCar: Indianapolis 500

The 2014 Indianapolis 500 is my fifth time covering The Greatest Spectacle in Racing. The history behind the Indianapolis Speedway is like no other track in the country. The first race at the track was in 1911 and this was the 98th running of the 500.

Be able to be one of the 250,000 spectators to be part of the race on Memorial Day Weekend is very special. Let’s get on with the photos.

NFL: Cleveland Browns-OTA

Johnny Football is the only freshman to win the Heisman Trophy and the only player in NCAA history to have 5,000 total yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a season and set the SEC record with 5,116 yards of total offense. NFL analysis projected him to be the first quarterback picked in the 2014 NFL draft, but he fell to the 22nd pick being drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

I personally like Manziel’s type of play, it’s something different the NFL hasn’t seen. With this being such a big story in the media I got the opportunity to spend 25 minutes at Browns OTA to knock off as many photos as I could to be used for articles over the next few months.

NASCAR: 5-Hour Energy 400

I am slowly working towards getting the opportunity to visit ever NASCAR track and Kansas Speedway has been on the list for a long time. Everyone had negative things to say about the track but I was very impressed. There was no traffic entering or exiting the track, the garages were nicely lit and Kansas makes for some awesome sunsets!

NASCAR: STP Gas Booster 500

The smallest track on the NASCAR circuit, is Martinsville Speedway. It’s narrow and shaped like a paperclip. It was easily one of my new favorite tracks on the circuit. Enjoy.
