Congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks for winning the Stanley Cup twice in the last three years. I knew this parade would be a pretty big deal and it surely didn’t disappoint. Once Chicago officials released the parade route, which would travel from the United Center down Washington Street and onto Grant Park. I had to plan my attack to due the hundreds of thousands of people that would be downtown.
The New England Nationals arrived in Epping, NH for the first time in the 40 years the track has been open. The owner of the track had to make vast improvements to the track and the pit areas for NHRA to consider making this a stop on the NHRA Tour.
Overall it was a great track to shoot at and get around. THe only bad part was the traffic going in and out of the track. Five lanes of cars all attempting to go into one gate. Epping should take a look at Bristol Raceway and see how they have got the traffic figured out because I have never been stuck in traffic there.
Boston is one of the few major cities I have never been to. Following NHRA in Bristol I would be doing the inaugural NHRA New England Nationals in Epping, NH. So I turned my trip into a mini vacation to Boston. I had no idea where to stay or where to where to go. I booked a hotel at Copley Square where the Boston Bombing took place. It seemed like the best location for shopping, eating and sight seeing.
