I have finally arrived!!! Once I got off the plane I had to make a quick stop at customs to get all of my camera gear verified. I was worried it was going to be some long process but it took about 5 minutes and I was on my way to baggage claim.

I had 3 roller bags with me so I had to get a little cart to wheel them all through the airport.

Then I stopped at currency exchange and exchanged $100 US dollars which game me 53 pounds. What a bunch of crap that the American Dollar is worth so little.

Next I was on to meet my driver who would be driving me to Hotel Russell where I will be staying for my 23 days I am in London. Once I met up with him we packed up the car and where on our way. It was funny seeing him drive on the other side of the car!

As where we driving back to the hotel I fired off a few frames. One of the Olympic mascot outside of the airport and a Starbucks which seems to be on every corner just like every other major city I have been to.

Here is an exterior view of Hotel Russell.

Since everything in England is super old that makes things very small, like elevators. There elevator in the hotel was barley big enough to fit 4 roller bags and myself.

Once I got to my room, I opened the door and this is what I was greeted to.

I was only in my room for about 20 minutes, long enough to take a quick shower and sit down for a few minutes. Then we walked around to Russell Square where my self and two co-workers grabbed the bus to the Media Press Center (MPC). It worked out well as we saw a lot of the city just riding the bus.

This below photo is pretty funny, and we looked out the window and see a couple making out then I noticed the girl was giving the guy a little handsy! Not sure if that is normal in London, but we all laughed for a good 10 minutes.

Police stand on a corner.

Here is a photo of the special Olympic Lane that will open on Wednesday.

Once we got to the MPC I met up with our tech guy who gave us our cellphones. We will be using a Samsung Galaxy Note for the duration of the games.

Now it was time to go wander around Olympic Park and see what kind of images I could make.

After shooting and editing I headed over to the cafeteria area for some late night dinner around 11:30pm.

We got back on the bus to Russell Square around 12:00am and made it to the hotel around 12:20am. It’s currently 2:24am and I have to be on a train to Birmingham, London to shoot some features of Usain Bolt.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for more images!
